Today was a beautiful day! There was a breeze, some rain, some sun, and more normal temperatures. It was lovely to have a break from sweating.
Last night we cleaned the apartment and gave back the keys. I will miss that place, but I am relieved to have that process over with. I feel much more relaxed now that we are installed at Alex’s parents house!
Alex got the next third of the upstairs drywall complete and I sorted and organized the delivery we received for our IKEA kitchen. With 177 pieces it was no small job to get everything sorted and labelled.
I also did a Home Depot run for more drywall and lumber all by myself in the truck – it is a good thing they have help for loading everything!
Alex added some soundproofing between the bedroom and bathrooms so that hopefully if we are not wakig up at the same time the other person won’t be disturbed.
Dad was working on the lighting downstairs in the meantime.
Overall it was a good day! We were all pretty mellow and worn out but still got quite a bit done.
Tomorrow is hockey for Alex and Friday we are taking a night off to spend some time with his parents, which we are both really looking forward to. Hopefully by Saturday we will be fully recovered and feeling fresh.
Best news of all is that our kitty has been adapting very well to the changes. We are so proud of her! She has become such a confident cat.
