Whew! Survived the first day of demo and accomplished a lot! We were at the house bright and early to meet Ideal Air for a duct cleaning. They are a company Alex has worked with many times through work and they did a fantastic job. Next up was the locksmith, Orleans/Gloucester locksmith, where we were assisted by the owner Ray. He was very professional and courteous and we would highly recommend him. Afterwards we had Kodiak security come by for a quote as we would like to switch from ADT to a more local operation and they came highly recommended. We also got our internet hooked up because.. priorities! Need to be able to play that demo playlist! Somehow that caused our internet to get messed up at the apartment.. but that is a rant about Rogers for another day. I took off to get supplies while Alex got to work with that sweat equity!
We managed to get the old kitchen ripped out as well as the upstairs bathroom and all of the upstairs floors. The front garden was completely overgrown and I cleaned that up. I also started the tedious process of washing down walls with TSP.
In addition to being a smoker, the previous owner also had a pet at some point and was not fond of cleaning… …at all. We have our work cut out for us!
